Pollen Trap
A small sturdy and efficient trap which fits 10 fr and 8 fr boxes. This trap was developed in and is used by most of the the commercial pollen collectors in WA. The bees crawl through a mesh to get into the hive. This dislodges the pollen from their legs. The pollen drops through a bee proof mesh into the well ventilated collection bin on the bottom. The trap mesh has a couple of larger holes drilled in it so drones and some workers can come and go unhindered. This keeps the colony functioning reasonably normally. If your hives are on stands you can adapt the current entrance to accommodate the traps which hang down in front of the hives otherwise the bottom entrance must be closed and a new one created behind the trap. Boardman Feeder
An entrance feeder made up of a glass jar, and a multi-holed lid which feeds the bees at a slow rate and a metal and wood holder so designed that only the bees in the hive can get at the food. You can easily see when the jar needs re-filling, beekeepers supply their own jar, but it is the "click" sort which are now the most common ones in use. To make a suitable sugar syrup we suggest you dissolve at least 2 parts of sugar into one part of very hot water.

Wooden Sections, each, up to 99
Thin laths of wood shaped and cut so that when the creases are wet, they will fold into a box.. When made up, the sections have slots on three sides so that you can use one uncut sheet for foundation to slip into the middles of the whole eight. Bees do not like working sections so to draw them successfully you need strong bees on a good honey flow. Well drawn and filled sections weight about 450 gms each. Free pamphlet available
