Description
Easy uncapping for a few hives, or for uncapping low spots when using an automatic uncapper. Use it to just lightly scratch the surface of the capped cells. This will also encourage the bees to build up the recessed cell area. The honey when extracted has more tiny particles of wax in it than usual, but these rise to the top and can easily be skimmed off. Alternatively hold it nearly parallel to the comb, insert the prongs just under the surface of the caps and saw them off with a side to side motion.
